Puncture Resistant Zipper
The puncture resistant zipper is a zipper with a double racquet coil chain. The racquet coil was designed for bags and backpacks where resistance to abrasion is required. YKK developed the puncture resistant zipper as a security performance zipper which aims to prevent unauthorized opening of bags. The double element structure of the puncture resistant zipper more than doubles the chain’s resistance to punctures compared to standard #8 racquet coil zippers (Item code: RC). This prevents the chain from being easily punctured with pens or other similar objects.
