AiryString®
YKK’s AiryString® tapeless zipper is designed for elements to be sewn directly onto fabric by a special machine. By eliminating the zipper tapes, the AiryString® zipper offers more flexibility and weight reduction of the final product, in turn allowing for more design possibilities.
Compared to standard zippers, the AiryString® tapeless zipper produces less greenhouse gas emissions and uses less water during production. In addition the AiryString® zipper top stop, elements and open parts are made of 100％ recycled materials.
YKK will work together with customers to incorporate this unique and revolutionary zipper into their products, as all parts for the zipper are supplied by YKK and require a special sewing machine.

YKK will provide support when considering the sewing specifications. When deciding on the specifications, please conduct quality tests recommended by YKK and consider based on the test results.
